Costs for self-represented lawyers

See von Reisner v Commonwealth of Australia (No 2) [2009] FCAFC 172 for a discussion of the ‘Chorley exception’ to the rule that self-represented litigants do not get costs for their own time.

While the Chorley exception still appears to apply, it has been criticised by the High Court.
