Commercial and public law.

I’m a barrister at the Victorian Bar, practising in commercial and public law.

I practise broadly across these areas, but have special interests in class actions, judicial review, and immigration.

I also appear for defendants in criminal matters, particularly fraud and white-collar crime matters.

A class actions specialist.

Previously I was a Senior Associate in the class actions section of Maurice Blackburn. There, I ran landmark cases including the Kilmore Black Saturday bushfire class action.

Amongst my other work I also acted for investors against National Australia Bank and QBE Insurance Group alleging misleading and deceptive conduct, and for consumers against the alleged Amcor-Visy cardboard packaging cartel.

A quantitative, analytical approach.

Prior to working in the law, I was a management consultant at Port Jackson Partners, working directly with boards and executive management of ASX 200 companies on financial matters and broader corporate strategy and public policy.

Together with my first class honours degree in law, I have a first class honours degree in engineering from the University of Adelaide, and previously worked as a freelance IT consultant.

This experience and training means my approach is distinctively analytical, and means I am adept with quantitative subject matter, such as in technical engineering, scientific and financial cases.

Contact me.

In Victoria, the legal profession is divided between barristers and solicitors, each of whom play different roles in the legal process. I am typically engaged by solicitors on behalf of the ultimate client.

In very limited circumstances, I will accept work directly from the public. Please contact me for more information on this kind of ‘direct access’ briefing.

You can reach me via my clerk, List G Barristers:
